Open Post to Peer Reviewers

This is a rough draft of my project for Project 2. It is important to make more than one draft to allow for the editing process to happen. Peer review is one way of editing in the editing process.

  • Key information about your particular project that you would like anyone who peer reviews your draft to know
The main thing I would like anyone reviewing my draft to know is that there are parts in the video that need more evidence and I am in the process of getting that evidence.

  • Major issues or weaknesses in the “Rough Cut” that you’re already aware of (as well as anything you’d like to know from your editors about those weaknesses)
One mjaor weakness of this draft is the lack of two interviewees. I was unable to interview a second person and therefore had to make do with one. Another weakness is the lack of transitions and a conclusion. I am still working on the best way to transition and conclude the video and I was hoping this peer review would help me find the best way.

  • Major virtues or strengths in the “Rough Cut” that you’re already aware of (as well as anything you’d like to know from your editors about those strengths)
A major strength of this rough cut is the third section of the video that deals with the research paper. I tried to make it interactive with a screen recording of a research essay.

  3. You are going in the right direction! Basically, what I am telling you here is the same I told you in class. First off, you should consider using a bit more sound effects for your final copy. Secondly, it would help greatly if you decided to add a little bit of a change in tone to your voice. Other than that, I think that your use of your interview is great and effective. But again, my only major concern her is that Dr. Blower's presents a huge change in tone from yours. However, It could also be effective in sort of "shocking" the viewers to pay more attention. It is, nonetheless, a wildcard. Anyways, good information, you are on the right track and good luck!
